瓦楞紙箱的主要功能是保護內(nèi)裝物不受環(huán)境(物理的、化學的,機械的、氣候的等)的損壞。原標準將瓦楞紙箱分成三類,也是三個等級。主要是按照出口、內(nèi)銷及內(nèi)裝物的貴重程度來劃分。隨著目前國內(nèi)外貿(mào)易的發(fā)展趨勢及經(jīng)濟的化趨勢,原來的劃分方法已經(jīng)不夠科學與合理。

新修訂的瓦楞紙板標準擬將紙板劃分為“優(yōu)等品”和“合格品”,對于瓦楞紙箱來講也不盡合適。如果劃分等級應該按照其將遇到的流通環(huán)境條件的嚴酷程度劃分。而且作為標準,應該對瓦楞紙箱提出一個限度的要求即可,但考慮到我國的現(xiàn)狀及使用習慣,將其劃分為兩類。即:1類紙箱主要用于儲運流通環(huán)境比較惡劣的情況;2類紙箱主要用于流通環(huán)境較好的情況。

⑵瓦拐紙箱的箱形在保證紙箱質量的前提下,應盡量節(jié)約紙箱加工材料和包裝費用。比如.容積相同的紙箱,采用長:寬:高為2:1:2時省料,比例為1:1:1時費料。因此,應盡量避免采用正方形的箱.還要照顧到產(chǎn)品對箱容積的利用率,箱對卡車、火車車廂容積的利用率以及倉儲運抽時堆垛的穩(wěn)定性.
